Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Construction Foreman/woman to lead and oversee landscape installation projects. This role involves supervising a team of workers, coordinating construction activities, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, construction experience, and a solid understanding of horticulture and landscape maintenance practices. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape construction activities, including planting, grading, irrigation installation, and hardscape work
- Lead a team of workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance
- Oversee project timelines, materials management, and workflow to meet project deadlines
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and company policies
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Perform hands-on tasks such as gardening, horticulture practices, landscape maintenance, and irrigation setup when necessary
- Inspect completed work for quality control and ensure customer satisfaction upon project completion
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape construction or related construction fields
- Supervising or leadership experience in a landscaping or construction environment
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, horticulture principles, and landscape maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings related to landscape projects
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills for supervising team members and interacting with clients
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Prior experience in supervising teams is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates with relevant construction background
Pay: $27.00-$33.00 per hour
