Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Recovery Support Worker to join our women’s addiction recovery program team. This vital role involves providing emotional support, assisting with daily activities, and promoting a safe and nurturing environment for women on their path to recovery. The ideal candidate will have experience in addiction recovery,social servies, or related fields, and possess a strong commitment to helping others achieve wellness and independence.
Duties
- Offer emotional support and trauma informed care to women in recovery, fostering a positive and respectful environment
- Assist with daily living activities
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any concerns to medical staff or case managers
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions, ensuring safety protocols are maintained
- Facilitate group activities and therapeutic sessions aimed at promoting mental health and social skills
- Maintain detailed documentation of resident progress and incidents in compliance with facility policies
- Collaborate with Program Director to coordinate care plans
Requirements
- Prior experience in recovery community and social services
- Knowledge of 12 steps and trauma informed care
- Experience working with individuals with substance misuse history
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to supporting women through recovery processes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Certification or training in addiction treatment
- Valid Ontario Drivers License
- Must demonstrate reliability, patience, and a genuine desire to assist others on their recovery journey

Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour
