Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Automation Technician to join our system intigration team. This role involves PLC Control panels Design and build. Electrical CAD Drawings, VFD Drives Programming and commissioning, Onsite Service calls, PLC Programming, HMI Programming, Field IO Wiring and installations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and automation technologies, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with 1 to 2 years experience in manufacturing and automation to contribute to innovative projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated manufacturing equipment and systems
- Program, configure, and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support production processes
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings for system installation and repairs
- Install, calibrate, and maintain sensors, low voltage systems, and other automation components
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve system reliability
- Travel to customer sites around GTA , Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford and Niagara Region
- Document maintenance activities, system modifications, and troubleshooting procedures accurately
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to electrical work and industrial automation
Skills
- Strong background in industrial maintenance and electrical systems experience
- Proven experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and automation components
- Familiarity with schematics and AutoCAD electrical drawings is a plus
- Experience working with low voltage electrical control systems
- Knowledge of industrial electrician practices within manufacturing environments
- Ability to read technical manuals and interpret complex schematics effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer service-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic setting
- Prior experience in industrial automation controls is highly desirable
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
