Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Gravel Pit/Crusher operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining crushing equipment within a gravel extraction site, ensuring efficient processing of materials to meet project specifications. Your mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and familiarity with heavy machinery will drive the success of our operations. Duties
- Operate crushing machinery and related equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality aggregate materials
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on crushers, screens, conveyors, and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor material feed rates, adjust settings as needed, and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during operation and maintenance activities
- Assist with site preparation, including moving materials with forklifts or other machinery as required
- Support construction-related tasks such as horizontal drilling or other site development activities when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of production volumes, equipment maintenance, and safety checks
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating crushers or similar heavy machinery in a construction or mining environment
- Construction experience is highly preferred, especially within gravel pits or aggregate production facilities
- Familiarity with oil & gas industry standards or projects is a plus
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating forklifts in industrial settings
- Commercial driving experience with a valid license to operate large vehicles or transport equipment
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques and equipment operation is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
