Immediately seeking experienced welder/fabricator for our 2026 gold mining season in the Yukon. Job ranges from fabricating custom solutions to maintaining Washplants and Heavy Equipment such as Haul trucks, loaders, graders and dozers
Responsibilities
- Develop basic templates and other work aids to hold and align parts.
- Maintain and repair wash plants and sluice runs
- Fabricate custom solutions as required
- Work indoors & outdoors in all weather conditions
- Keep an organized shop and truck, and respect all tools and equipment provided
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Heat, form, and dress metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment
- Mining experience will be considered a major asset
- Mechanical knowledge will be considered a major asset
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment efficiently is an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Advanced knowledge of blueprints, shop mathematics and weld symbols are required.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to communicate effectively with others using both verbal and written.
Mining work site will be located outside of Dawson City, Yukon. Housing and food provided on site (no additional charge). Season starts immediately till early October. Initial travel out to the camp will be paid for by the company. Employees who do not stay for the full season will be required to reimburse this amount upon leaving. Additional travel back and forth (not work related) will be at employee’s expense.

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

- Beaver Creek, YT: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Industrial mechanic: 1 year (preferred)
