For a furniture designer who genuinely loves the product, this is a rare opportunity to help shape a growing luxury residential collection.
This role is for someone who notices proportions, detailing, craftsmanship, materials, comfort, and construction. Someone with a strong appreciation for contemporary European furniture and luxury residential design who wants to create products that feel refined, intentional, and beautifully resolved.
We’re partnering with a growing luxury residential furniture brand looking for a Product Development & Design Manager to help shape the next phase of the collection across seating, lighting, case goods, and accessories.
This role is ideal for a strong Intermediate-level designer who wants more ownership and creative influence without stepping away from the actual work. You’ll play a central role in developing concepts, refining products, collaborating with production, and helping define the direction of the brand.
The environment is collaborative, hands-on, and highly design-driven. The right person is equally comfortable sketching concepts, refining technical details, reviewing prototypes, and solving production challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop contemporary furniture collections from concept through production
- Create original concepts through sketching, 3D modeling, rendering, and material exploration
- Produce detailed technical drawings and production-ready CAD models
- Collaborate closely with internal production, upholstery, and operations teams
- Oversee prototyping, sample reviews, and fabrication coordination
- Research trends, materials, craftsmanship, and evolving directions within the luxury furniture market
- Work with external suppliers and manufacturing partners to support quality and production goals
- Help evolve the overall product direction and design language of the brand
- Integrate AI tools and emerging technologies into the design and development process

- 5+ years of experience in high-end furniture or product design
- Experience within luxury residential or hospitality-focused design environments
- Strong understanding of contemporary furniture design and European design aesthetics
- Strong technical knowledge of furniture construction, detailing, materials, and manufacturing
- Seating experience is highly preferred
- Exposure to lighting and case goods is considered an asset
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a small, highly involved team
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Experience from respected luxury studios or brands is highly valued.
