Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to oversee landscape and horticultural projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, hands-on experience in irrigation, gardening, and construction, and a proven track record in supervising teams. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring quality standards, and coordinating with clients to deliver exceptional landscape maintenance and horticultural services.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticultural activities on various project sites
- Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Lead and motivate a team of workers, providing guidance and support to meet project goals
- Plan and organize daily work schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Conduct site inspections to monitor quality standards and safety compliance
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide professional recommendations
- Assist in construction-related tasks as needed, including site preparation and installation work
- Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition
- Train new team members on best practices in landscape care, horticulture, and safety procedures
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, horticulture principles, and landscape maintenance
- Proven supervising experience with strong leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Construction experience is a plus for overseeing installation projects
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Strong organizational skills to plan daily operations effectively
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift moderate loads as required
