Operation Shifts Available:
- Night: 2 PM - 12 AM
- Overnight: 12 AM - 6 AM
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare produced material for heat treating process, this includes movement and care of parts as necessary, including using powered equipment such as assisted hoist lift
- Load, set up, calibrate, operate, and monitor furnace performance for heat treating of parts, taking into consideration standards, heat treating requirements and safety
- Obtain, inspect and tests parts in order to detect any faulty equipment and defective materials
- Review process instructions and priorities prior to unloading the furnace
- Prepare baskets with material and parts required according to customers specifications
- Performs mechanical cleaning of parts , make sure that parts are residue and scale free
- Accurately and consistently document all performed tasks on appropriate records (work orders, inspection sheets, maintenance logs, and etc.)
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions
- Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements
- Contribute or lead problem solving and continuous improvement
- Operate scanner (Ajax Tocco) by calling the right job, setting up specifications, modify position of the rods robot set up (ABB)
- Ensure that right coils are used
- Responsible for following all applicable safety requirements
- Reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions
- Ensure cleanliness of the shop and equipment to provide a safe environment
- Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed or requested by supervision
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Fork-lift experience and driver’s license class G, required;
- Proficient in the proper use of precision measuring equipment;
- Strong ability follow written and oral instructions;
- Detailed oriented;
- Leadership qualities preferred;
- Experience using a forklift will be welcomed;
- Basic computer skills;
- Must be willing to work alternate shifts, when required;
- Experience with material safety data sheets and the handling of hazardous materials/chemicals.
