About the Role
We are seeking a customer-focused and organized Service Advisor to join our team in Oshawa, Ontario. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while coordinating vehicle maintenance and repair services efficiently.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and customer service skills, a solid understanding of automotive service processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, understanding and documenting their vehicle concerns accurately.
- Schedule service appointments and coordinate workflow with technicians and management.
- Prepare repair orders and provide customers with detailed estimates for recommended services and repairs.
- Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and costs clearly to customers.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding vehicle status and any additional work required.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely completion of repairs.
- Review completed work orders and explain services performed to customers upon vehicle delivery.
- Process invoices, payments, and maintain accurate customer and vehicle records.
- Promote maintenance services and identify upselling opportunities when appropriate.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Follow company policies, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership or repair facility is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair processes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer systems and dealership/service management software.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automotive parts catalog software such as NextPart, PartsTech, ALLDATA, and Tech Metrics is highly preferred.
- Strong sales and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
