EDGE1 Equipment Rentals is a proudly Canadian-owned equipment rental company. We provide aerial lifts, earthmoving equipment, compaction equipment, forklifts, generators, telehandlers, and construction equipment to contractors, municipalities, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects throughout Southern Ontario.
From our two locations in Ontario — Hamilton (330 Fruitland Road) and Mississauga (1252 Shawson Drive) — we support contractors across residential and commercial construction, renovation, road and civil works.
Summary
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Rental Coordinator to be the welcoming voice of our company and the backbone of our Hamilton rental operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Answer incoming customer rental inquiries
- Prepare quotations, rental contracts, and reservations
- Coordinate equipment deliveries, pickups, and exchanges
- Work closely with dispatch, drivers, mechanics, and management
- Monitor fleet availability and maximize equipment utilization
- Process off-rentals and customer billing
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate equipment for their projects
- Maintain accurate records within Texada rental software
- Support outside sales and business development efforts
- Ensure contracts are accurate and complete before equipment leaves the yard
- Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Assist with collections and account follow-up when required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Equipment rental experience
- Texada software experience
- Knowledge of construction equipment and jobsite operations
- Dispatch or transportation coordination experience
- Sales and account management experience
- Prior experience in the equipment rental, logistics, or customer service industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in business systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous administrative or clerical experience is beneficial.
