Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Drywall Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation, carpentry, and related construction skills. This role involves working on residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints will thrive in this position. Prior experience in construction painting, caulking, and handyman tasks is a plus.
Duties
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels according to project specifications and blueprints
- Secure drywall using appropriate fasteners and tools, ensuring proper alignment and finish
- Tape, mud, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting or finishing
- Perform caulking around seams and joints for a smooth appearance
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout and materials needed
- Assist with related carpentry tasks such as framing or minor repairs as needed
- Apply paint or primer when required for finishing touches
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal throughout the project
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing within a construction setting
- Strong carpentry skills with knowledge of framing and blueprint reading
- Experience with construction painting, caulking, and general handyman tasks preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between job sites as required
- Prior construction experience is highly desirable; certification or training in drywall installation is a plus
Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
