Pharmacy Assistant/OTC Associate (Part Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an energetic and friendly Pharmacy Assistant to provide excellent customer service to our great customers! This is a part time position.

WORK HOURS:
- Primarily daytime weekday shifts (until 8pm), and some weekend shifts (10am to 2pm). Some weekday evening shifts, as required.
- Candidates MUST be available for at least 2* FULL (8 HOUR) DAYTIME (ie. 9am to 6pm), WEEKDAY *(ie. Monday to Friday) shifts per week.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide professional and courteous service to all pharmacy and gift shop clients.
Process client prescriptions / data entry using Kroll pharmacy software.
Third Party Adjudication
Accurate packaging and labeling of prescriptions
Maintenance of pharmacy stock (OTC and RX) through inventory control systems.
Compounding of pharmaceutical preparations (training provided)
Answer telephone inquiries
General OTC inquiries and referral to Pharmacist when required
Assist customers during prescription pickup
Cashier responsibilities
Working within a team environment, including pharmacy staff members and clinic staff members.
Assist with Giftshop merchandise when required (receiving/merchandising)
General upkeep and maintenance of Pharmacy appearance (dispensary and front shop). ie. dusting, vacuuming, tidying, etc.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant is preferred, but IDA Pharmacy may be willing to train a highly prospective candidate.
Proficient communication skills.
Attention to Detail.
Friendly / Non-judgemental personality.
Demonstrated customer service experience.
Ability to focus on customer service, and routine pharmacy tasks, while limiting distractions.
Strong initiative and motivation to succeed.
Proficient computer/data entry skills.
Ability to remain focused during stressful periods.
Strong basic mathematical skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Previous Kroll or compounding experience are assets for this position.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.50 per hour
