We are fast growing wood remanufacture and recycling company located in Delta. We are currently looking for a Class 5 Truck Driver who can deliver a safe, efficient, and timely transportation of pallets, materials, and finished goods between company sites and customer locations. The role requires strong attention to safety, compliance with BC commercial transport regulations, and professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 5 commercial vehicle for deliveries and pickups.
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with BC regulations and NSC standards.
- Complete routine vehicle checks and report any mechanical or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with loading and unloading pallets and materials as needed.
- Plan efficient delivery routes and follow schedules set by dispatch.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including delivery records, inspection logs, and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers.
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries and interactions.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and comply with safety and transportation regulations.
- Follow all WorkSafeBC, company, and provincial safety requirements.
- Address and report any issues, delays, or incidents encountered during transportation.
Qualifications:
- A valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
- 2+ years of commercial truck driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of BC Commercial Transport Regulations and NSC standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and participate in manual handling when required.
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.
- Able to work at Abbotsford location.
