Position Summary:
The Part Time Baker would work with the Full-time Baker to ensure all areas pertaining to the morning food offering at The Black Pony are completed. They would work 2-3 days a week, Specifically Sunday and Monday, one in which is assisted by the Head baker, and 2 by themselves. The work day begins at 4:30am, and ends by 11:30am. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: baking the daily offerings, preparing the next days offerings, restock, batching of cookie dough, scone dough, cake layers, icing, and any other items pertaining to the morning food offerings, maintaining exceptional kitchen operations and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ To bake the daily food offerings for the Cafe service, including but not limited to daily croissants, muffins, scones, cookies and cakes in a timely manner, and before cafe service begins.
▪ Employee expectations on cleanliness, weekly deep cleans and occasional duties. Priorities when multiple tasks must be completed
▪ To batch required items for morning food offerings such as cookie doughs, cake layers, icings, scone mix, muffin mix, etc.
▪ To uphold the standards of Food and Health safety in the kitchen by maintaining a clean work environment.

o General Conduct – responsible for conducting yourself in a professional and team-oriented fashion and set an example of leadership for all staff at all times. Responsible for creating a safe cultural environment for staff to voice concerns, questions and assist in problem solving
o Drinking in the workplace – No consumption of alcohol during the work shift will be tolerated. Management is expected to hold the highest level of professionalism and set an example of leadership for all staff.
o Restaurant Equipment – all equipment must always remain in the restaurant. If any restaurant equipment is needed restaurant activities outside of the location, the equipment must be registered with the General Manager. The GM will make a note of the value of the equipment, the reason why it is being taken out of the restaurant, length of time it will be out. Management will be responsible for replacing the equipment in the event of loss or damage.
