POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for driven, problem-solving, team-spirited individuals to work with the Abbotsford Canucks for Kids Fund 50/50 Program for the upcoming 26-27 season. This is a part-time, hourly, event-based position.
A typical shift includes:
- Coordinating the financial, technical, and logistical components of each raffle lottery
- Organizing, training, and motivating a diverse group of 50/50 volunteer sellers
- Carrying out all pre- and post-draw operations
- Overseeing the secure handling of electronic equipment and lottery revenues
- Other duties may be assigned as required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Available to work at least 50% of all events at Rogers Forum each month, with a typical start time of 4:30pm
- Available to work during the Christmas holiday season, spring break, and summer as shifts are dependent on the event schedule
- Comfortable working with technology, including tablet-based applications
- Ability to thrive and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- A reliable team player who respects people who volunteer and knows how to make their team’s day
- Driven with initiative and a commitment to service excellence
- Experience cash handling and supervising staff is an asset
- Experience working in a volunteer-focused program is an asset
