Must be available 7am–9pm daily (weekends included). Occasional early opens/closes needed to support team coverage.
Altea is not another big box gym. It's not a boutique studio. It's something the Canadian fitness industry hasn't seen before — and from the moment a member walks through the door, the Front of House team is a big part of why it feels that way.
The Front of House Supervisor sets the tone for every single visit. You lead the team that greets members by name, resolves concerns before they become complaints, and holds the hospitality standard that separates Altea from every other club in the market. This is not a role about managing a desk. It is about managing an experience — and doing it with the kind of presence and consistency that makes members feel genuinely taken care of, every time they walk in.
If you have led a front-facing team in a premium environment and found yourself raising the bar even when no one was watching — this role was built for you.
What You'll Lead:
- Your Team — You lead, develop, and schedule the front of house team. You set the standard through how you show up, not just what you say. Your team's hospitality is a direct reflection of your coaching.
- The Member Experience — Every arrival, every interaction, every concern that comes through your desk is an opportunity to reinforce why members chose Altea. You protect that experience without micromanaging it.
- The Front Desk Operation — Check-ins, scheduling, membership inquiries, daily opening and closing procedures — you own the operational backbone of the member-facing floor and you run it with precision.
- Service Recovery — When something goes wrong, you are the person who makes it right. Quickly, professionally, and in a way that leaves the member feeling more loyal than before the issue arose.
- The Standard — Presentation, cleanliness, team conduct, and communication — these are not things you audit periodically. They are things you live every shift, and your team follows because of how you lead.
Who You Are:
You are not here to manage a schedule and answer emails. You are here to lead a team that makes every member feel like the most important person in the building.
- You lead from the floor. You are visible, approachable, and present. Your team knows what the standard looks like because they see you living it on every shift.
- You are people-smart in a way that shows. You read a member's energy before they say a word. You know when someone on your team is having a hard day before they tell you. That emotional intelligence is what makes this role excellent — not just operational.
- You do not wait for a complaint to act. You notice the lineup at check-in and you step in. You see a new member looking uncertain and you introduce yourself. You are proactive because you are proud of the experience you are responsible for.
- You hold the standard without being reminded. Uniform, tone, desk organization, team presentation — these are non-negotiable to you because you understand what they communicate to every member who walks in.
- You develop people as part of how you lead. You give honest feedback, you coach in the moment, and you invest in the growth of the people on your team — because a stronger team means a better experience for every member.
What We're Looking For:
- 2–4 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role in a premium hospitality, fitness, or service environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead a front-facing team and hold a high service standard across varied conditions
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills — you handle difficult conversations with composure and care
- Experience with scheduling, front desk operations, and membership or reservation management systems
- Proficiency with MyAltea or similar platforms will be developed during onboarding
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually – paid by the employer
- Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement

Success Looks Like:
Your team is consistent — in how they show up, how they communicate, and how they make members feel. Check-in wait times are minimal. Service recovery is fast and leaves members satisfied. The front desk operates cleanly and without gaps. Members know your name and your team's name. The standard holds on the shifts you are not there for, because of the culture you built on the ones you were.
