Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Store Clerk to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the store's appearance. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for retail sales and product knowledge. Multilingual abilities and technical sales experience are a plus, helping to enhance customer interactions and support sales initiatives.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- must have a valid serving it right certificate
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and sales processing
- Manage merchandising displays to ensure attractive presentation of products
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on technical products and services
- Handle cashiering duties including processing transactions accurately
- Maintain organized shelves and clean store environment
- Assist customers with inquiries via phone or in person using professional phone etiquette
- Support inventory management and stock replenishment tasks
- Engage in effective time management to ensure smooth store operations throughout shifts
Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or cashiering preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation with friendly phone etiquette
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; prior experience in technology sales or upselling is advantageous
Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour
