We are currently looking for a hardworking, charismatic individual to join our team as a Hydraulic Technician at our London, Ontario location.
The Hydraulic Technician will inspect, analyze, and troubleshoot systems and equipment. They run tests and interpret the results to make the effective recommendations to fix faulty or broken equipment. When necessary, during repairs, they will source replacement parts and negotiate costs with suppliers and clients. They will be able to repair and replace faulty equipment and provide time and material cost estimates before they start a job.
Shift: Monday to Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose hydraulic systems to identify faults or malfunctions.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, fluids, and hoses.
- Repair or replace defective components such as pumps, valves, and cylinders.
- Install and test hydraulic systems and components.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and diagrams.
- Provide technical support to customers and other departments.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure work meets industry standards.
- Estimate the material costs and provide a timeline for repairs.
- Travel to customer locations to complete repairs and maintenance.
- Document work performed, as well as maintaining accurate records of parts and labor used.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in hydraulics would be considered an asset.
- Industrial Hydraulic Technician (IHT) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
- Four or more years experience as a hydraulic technician or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools for maintenance and repair work.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
- Valid Provincial driver’s license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
