About Us
Roberts Street Pizza is a fast-paced, community-loved pizza shop serving handmade pizzas with fresh, quality ingredients since 1997. We're looking for a reliable, motivated team member to support both prep and full-service operations.
Position Overview
We're hiring a Pizza Team Member to support both daytime and evening service, including opening and closing shifts.
This position will start at approximately 3 days per week, with opportunities for additional hours as business needs grow and for the right candidate. Shifts may include daytime, evening, opening, and closing responsibilities, depending on the schedule.
This role is a great fit for someone who is flexible, enjoys working in all areas of the kitchen, and is interested in growing into a supervisory role over time.
We're also open to training the right individual across multiple locations, including occasional shifts in Chemainus and Lake Cowichan, for those interested in gaining broader experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Daytime prep (ingredients, toppings, dough preparation, stocking)
- Opening the shop and preparing for daily service
- Cooking pizzas and handling orders during service
- Closing the shop when scheduled
- Operating POS, handling payments, and providing customer service
- Keeping dishes caught up throughout the shift
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Following food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintaining food quality and consistency
- Supporting smooth transitions between shifts
- Communicating prep levels and any issues to management
Scheduling & Hours
- Starting at 3 days per week
- Additional shifts may become available
- Mix of daytime, evening, opening, and closing shifts
- Weekend availability is required
What We're Looking For
- No experience necessary — we are willing to train the right person
- Comfortable working in all areas of the kitchen, including oven, assembly, order taking, dishes, prep, opening, and closing duties
- Flexible and able to work varying shifts
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow procedures
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for most of the shift
- Reliable transportation preferred, especially for those interested in occasional shifts at other locations
- Willing to jump in wherever needed
- Interest in taking on more responsibility and potentially moving into a supervisory role
