We are recruiting for Countertop Installer Helpers, in the London area.
Our client, a leading supplier of stone countertops and an award-winning custom granite and quartz Fabricator/Installer in Southwestern Ontario, is recruiting for Countertop Installer Helpers. Reporting the Lead Installer, these positions would be responsible to assist the Lead Installer with the transportation, fabrication and installation of stone, granite and quartz countertops in residential and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload and carry heavy stone countertop pieces, safely, from the vehicle to the job site
- Assist the Lead Installer with positioning, leveling, securing and seaming countertops
- Utilize hand tools to make minor cuts, grind, polish and finish edges
- Prepare job sites by removing existing old countertops and prepare cabinets for new installation
- Clean the work area, thoroughly, upon completion
- Organize, maintain and ensure all required tools and material are on the work truck
- Maintain a professional demeanor in the customer's home and assist as needed

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and experience
- High school diploma
- Previous experience in construction or the trades would be considered “a plus”
- Able to lift and move heavy materials
- Able to operate power tools (grinder, saws etc.) and accurately use a tape measure
- Strong communication skills
- Team player
- Highly developed computer skills
- Organized and self motivated
- Attention to detail
- Quick learner
- Steel toed shoes
- Positive attitude and willingness to work!

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
