Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic to join our maintenance team at Mosaic, Belle Plaine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems across various facilities. This role requires a strong foundation in HVAC, plumbing, welding, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation and safety standards. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration units and systems
- Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately diagnose issues
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to refrigeration systems, including pipe fittings and connections
- Utilize welding skills for repairs or modifications of metal components within refrigeration and HVAC units
- Assist with boiler maintenance and repair as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Perform appliance repair tasks related to HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
Experience
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic or similar role in HVAC or appliance repair fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plumbing, welding, boiler systems, and schematics interpretation
- Familiarity with construction environments is a plus
- Prior experience working with HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and repair of complex units. Ex. MakeUp Air (Engeneered Air)
- Mechanic experience in industrial settings preferred
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, welding, and construction environments
- Must have a valid Saskatchewan drivers license
Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
