Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sports Photography Manager to lead our team in capturing high-quality images of athletic events and league photos. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, excellent technical skills, and experience managing staff. This role involves overseeing the photography process during events and team shoots from planning to post-production, ensuring that all images meet professional standards and client expectations. Willing to train, those who have a high drive to succeed.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate photography sessions at various sporting events, ensuring timely and efficient coverage.
- Problem solving any technical issues with camera, and or computer gear.
- Manage a team of photographers, providing guidance on shot composition, camera settings, and event coverage strategies.
- Edit and enhance photographs using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop to ensure optimal quality and consistency.
- Oversee post-production workflows, including color correction, retouching.
- Maintain organized archives of images for easy retrieval and usage rights management.
- Stay updated on the latest photography techniques, equipment, and editing software to continually improve quality standards.
- Traveling to different cities on weekends to cover different events.
Experience
- Proven experience in sports photography or related field with a portfolio showcasing athletic event coverage.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing a team of photographers or media professionals.
- Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, is essential.
- Strong understanding of camera equipment, lighting techniques, and editing workflows specific to sports photography.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members, and event staff effectively.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards in fast-paced environments.
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
