Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Construction Worker to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have experience in general construction with intermediate framing and drywall skills and be comfortable working on residential and commercial renovation projects. This role involves assisting with a variety of construction tasks while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Perform general construction and renovation work on residential and commercial projects.
- Install drywall, complete basic to intermediate taping, mudding, sanding, and patch repairs.
- Assist with wood and metal framing, blocking, and other carpentry tasks.
- Install baseboards, trim, doors, hardware, and other finish carpentry components.
- Perform demolition, site preparation, material handling, and job site cleanup.
- Assist with painting, finishing, and other project-related tasks as required.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow project plans, supervisor instructions, and company safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Experience in general construction or residential/commercial renovations.
- Intermediate experience with drywall installation, patching, mudding, taping, and sanding.
- Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work.
- Basic to intermediate carpentry skills, including framing and finish carpentry.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential or commercial construction and renovation.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and building codes.
- Experience with painting, flooring, or other finishing trades is considered an asset.
Schedule
- Morning and/or evening shifts.
- Weekend availability as required.
Work Location
Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), Nova Scotia & Near locations.
Applicants must have a reliable means of transportation. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required. Travel outside HRM will be compensated in accordance with company policy.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
