The Opportunity:
The EarlyON Educator is responsible for design and delivery of accessible, inclusive learning
environments for families with children from 0 to 6 years of age that will enhance growth and
development through play-based learning opportunities, modelling positive child-child and
parent-child interactions.
What you will do:
• Plan, organize, and facilitate programming that focuses on provincial pedagogical
framework.
- Work with Program Co-ordinator and Manager to create interactive play-based learning
environments and ensure compliance with the Quality Improvement program.
- Observe and document interactions - developmentally, interpersonally, physically, and
develop program plans to support healthy child development and well-being and identifying
need for early intervention.
- Engage in case conferences internally and with external partners to coordinate supports
required.
- Promote the importance of the early years in providing better long-term outcomes for
children, families, and the community.
- Develop and facilitate programming for community events to spread awareness about
EarlyON Child and Family Centre programs.
- Represent EarlyON within the community, focusing on connecting participants with outside
organizations that will be beneficial for their wellness (mental, physical, emotional).
- Provide sector navigation for families to access services and supports.
- Develop and prepare program materials, activities, and meals, including helping to develop
meal plans.
- Create program plans, goals and evaluate program delivery, effectiveness, and viability and
address gaps as needed.
