Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Foreman/woman to oversee and coordinate construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. This role involves supervising construction teams, ensuring project quality, adhering to safety standards, and maintaining project timelines and budgets. The Construction Foreman/woman will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality construction projects efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work is completed according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide project execution
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 for project planning, scheduling, and documentation
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations
- Manage project budgets by monitoring costs and resource allocation effectively
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a culture of safety among team members
- Provide supervision for subcontractors and labor crews, assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, progress reports, and safety documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising construction projects with a strong understanding of construction management principles
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, and budgeting processes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively
- Experience in quality control procedures within the construction industry
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices on construction sites
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders
