We are recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist a female employer who has Multiple Sclerosis with personal care and all activities of daily living.
She enjoys watching movies and listening to Christian music.
The perfect candidate will be a person who is bubbly and likes to chat, with a good sense of humor. Someone who follows a faith would be a bonus.
Location:
- Doe River, BC (Near Doe River Community Hall)
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- Saturday, Sunday and Monday
- 7 or 8am to 4 or 5pm ( needs to be flexible as possibility of being asked to stay longer when the husband is at work (over time paid) )
Compensation:
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Daily personal care such as showering , dressing, washroom care, and personal hygiene
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping such as, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, and washing dishes
- Assist with transfers using Transfer Belt
- Drive the employer's vehicle to take them to run errands and attend social events
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of Caregiving experience required
- Experience with transfer belt preferred
- Comfortable working in an environment with dogs
- Non-smoker and Non-vaper
- Physically fit and able to complete all job duties, such as transfers
- Willingness to learn
