Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations efficiently. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with dental software and medical terminology is highly valued to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate record-keeping.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix and Epic.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and confirm patient details.
- Verify insurance information and process patient payments accurately.
- Maintain organized patient records, update medical histories, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations at the front desk.
- Handle appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations efficiently.
- Support billing processes and insurance claims submission as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Tracker is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care enhances communication with patients and staff.
- Office experience involving front desk duties, multi-line phone systems, and administrative support is advantageous.
