Clinical Counsellor (RCC, CCC, RSW or Registered Psychologist)

This position is ideal for clinicians who enjoy working with a diverse client population and who value both clinical excellence and professional autonomy.
About the Role
We are looking for a counsellor who is comfortable supporting a variety of client populations, including:
● Couples

We welcome clinicians who have established specialty areas or are developing expertise in one or more niche populations.
Preferred Areas of Clinical Interest
While not required, we are especially interested in counsellors with 5 years of experience or advanced training in:
● Neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, executive functioning)
● Trauma and PTSD
● EMDR or other trauma-focused therapies
● Grief and bereavement
● Addictions and recovery
● Personality disorders, including Cluster B presentations
● Anxiety disorders
● Depression

Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
● Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW), or the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Registered Psychologist.
● Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
● Professional liability insurance.
● Strong ethical decision-making and clinical judgment.
● Excellent written documentation skills.
● Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
● Commitment to ongoing professional development.

What You’ll Do
● Provide individual, couples, family, and/or child counselling.
● Develop individualized treatment plans.
● Maintain timely and professional clinical documentation.
● Collaborate with referral sources and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
● Participate in peer consultation and ongoing professional learning.
● Deliver compassionate, ethical, client-centred care.
