D.B.I. Inc. is a privately owned transportation company based in West Edmonton, Alberta, specializing in heavy haul, over-dimensional, and general freight transportation throughout Canada and the United States. We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation solutions to our customers across a wide range of industries.
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Yard Operator to join our team. They will assist with general yard duties, equipment organization, light maintenance, and support our drivers and mechanics to ensure the yard runs smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Assist drivers and shop staffs with loading, unloading, and organizing trailers and equipment in different yard locations
- Perform general yards maintenance and cleanup
- Support drivers and mechanics as needed
- Ensure safe and efficient movement of units and materials around the yards
- Assist with washing, cleaning and detailing of tools for trucks and heavy equipment when needed
- Inspect equipment, trailers to ensure they are safe and ready for operation.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Provide operational support and all other labour duties as required
Requirements:
- Physically capable of performing manual labour and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must have reliable transportation (yards are not easily accessible by public transit)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Class 1 Licence is required
Schedule:
- Cross-shift rotation with every second weekend off
- Day shift hours
