Experienced Flexo Press Operator in Pressure Sensitive Label Industry - Afternoon shift
Established in 1990, Label Design Ltd. is a Guelph based SQF certified manufacturer of pressure sensitive labels. We are looking for an experienced flexo-press operator with a strong work ethic to join our team. The press operator will be responsible for the efficient operation of multi-color printing press equipment to exacting standards for quality in accordance with customer requirements and expectations.
Primary responsibilities will include:
· Receiving and reviewing customer specifications as per documentation provided to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, rollers, etc. are used.
· Operating the press to produce product in accordance with customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
· Maintaining consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks include: copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion.
· Complying with all SQF, GMP, Health and Safety, and company procedures
· Inputting all required information into the processing system for material usage and time in an accurate and prompt manner.
Requirements
· Minimum of 2 years operating a label manufacturing flexo printing press.
· Experience with Mark Andy presses a strong asset
· Strong work ethic
· Good mechanical, technical, and troubleshooting abilities
· Good organization and inspection skills
· Computer literate
After training on day shift, this position moves to night shift. 4 days/week. 10 hrs. shifts from 5 PM - 3 AM. No rotation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.00-$33.00 per hour
