Position: Blender Operator – Afternoon Shift
Location: Kitchener Facility
Shift Time 2:30pm – 11:00pm
Reports To: Afternoon Shift Supervisor
There is an opening for a Blender Operator at the Ampacet Kitchener facility. We are now asking
interested candidates from both internal and external sources to submit their name and resume for these

2026 Hourly Pay Range: $29.96 - $34.07. Enrolled in 2026 Variable Compensation Bonus Program
Responsibilities: The Blender Operator is responsible for blending ingredients from the pigment control
area, bulk ingredients and resin according to the mixing guidelines. This also includes proper identification of
the blends
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
➢ Using FIFO (First in, First out) practices to ensure older material is being used
➢ Responsible for operating a high intensity mixer, ribbon blender, or drum tumbler to effectively
achieve a uniform mix of all ingredients.
➢ Discharge ingredients into super sack or drum and staged on the mezzanine.
➢ Responsible for hanging and discharging sacks above feeders and change when empty.
➢ Responsible for cleaning blender and resin handling systems
➢ Practice excellent housekeeping
➢ Work independently and efficiently
➢ Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation
➢ Work safely and adhering to all safety and company policies
➢ Practice continuous improvement & troubleshooting of blending process
➢ Completing special projects as assigned
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND TRAINING
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a plastic manufacturing environment is preferred
- ability to stand for 6-8 hours
- repetitive lifting of 25 kg as needed
- Must have manual dexterity to work with hand tools and operate equipment.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime
- Must have good attendance record
- Good computer skills, competent in Outlook, Excel, Word or comparable system
Pay: $29.00-$34.02 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
