We’re Hiring!
We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a Forklift Operator in our Shipping & Receiving department at our Leamington, Ontario facility.
What You'll Do:
-
Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact quantity and product type are loaded and shipped according to orders.

Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.

Move, store, label and manage materials, ensure they stacked and stored in appropriate areas.

Use electronic device to record pallet and product movements (with scan device).

Inspect and verify all shipments and incoming goods against packing slips.

Be aware of customer spec requirements and report any deviations & quality concerns.

Undertake physical inventory counts and stock checks.
-
Update and maintain all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Prepare packing slips and ensure coordination with the driver.

Ensure equipment maintenance program is maintained, and all safety requirements are met.

Inspect and report minor & major maintenance needs on the forklift and other equipment

Ensure all walkways are kept free of debris to prevent slips, trips and falls as well as clean up any items lying around such as cords, baskets etc.

Work closely with the Supervisor regularly for updates on times and communicate with allocation on any delays or shortages.

Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures

What You Bring:

Forklift training must be completed
-
Forklift experience is mandatory, minimum of 1 year.

Must always be safety conscious and follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations

Must be attentive and a logical thinker.

Flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential.

Must be able to work well with minimal supervision.
-
Must display a respectful and positive attitude.
-
Reading, writing, oral communication, and effective listening skills are essential job tools.

Basic computer skills are required.

Basic mathematical skills are essential.

Safety shoes are mandatory for this position.
What To Expect:
-
Fast-paced warehouse environment where temperatures are cooler.
-
Working with a wide array of people/cultures in a team setting.
-
Working Schedule: will be 5-6 days per week, normal hours of work will be full-time approx. 40 to 60 hours per week. These hours are deemed to be norm but may be more or fewer hours as required. Shifts may vary between day, afternoon or night shift.

Must be able to complete all physical requirements, balance between walking, sitting, standing, climbing in and out of a forklift for up to 8-12 hours per day.

Occasional requirements include heavy lifting, bending, twisting, and reaching as needed.
