Alliance Employment Group is recruiting Freezer Selectors to join our client in Vaughan! Alliance Employment Groups works alongside one of the world's largest E-fulfillment companies, as well as clients in food service, cargo handling, and sanitation. Your position as a forklift operator will focus on safe and efficient movement of products and materials.
Our distribution client is currently looking for a full time Freezer Selectors - Walkie Forklift Certified for their Vaughan location.
The schedule will be Monday to Sunday (Saturday or Sunday off )
Afternoon Shift - 3pm-12am and Night Shift 12am to 9am
Responsibilities:
- Move product to the system generated storage location
- 30% forklift driving → You’ll spend part of your day operating a forklift (loading/unloading, moving pallets, stacking goods).
- This is primarily a physical labor job, not a forklift-only position
- You should be comfortable with frequent lifting, standing, and moving throughout your shift
- Forklift experience is helpful, but physical stamina matters more for this role
- 70% manual labor → Most of the job is physical work, such as: Moving skids/pallets Heavy lifting and general warehouse tasks
- There will be times where you will have to go into the freezer, gloves and jackets will be provided
- Report all shortages, damages and inventory discrepancies to the supervisor
- Replenish product to the system generated pick location
- Follow all health and safety policies and guidelines while performing duties
- Maintain housekeeping, and cleanliness of warehouse
- Lifting/moving upto 90 skids per day
- Other duties as assigned by warehouse manager
Qualifications:
- Excellent Verbal and written Skills
- Good Organizational Skills
- Licensed Forklift Operator (Walkie - Single and Double pallet jack)
- Ability to take direction and work with a team and alone
- Ability to work weekends as needed.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to walk and stand throughout the workday
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all orders filled accurately
