We are currently seeking an on-call Medical Transfer Attendant to join our growing team. As we build our presence in the city, the position will initially be on-call, with plans to scale in the coming months. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking flexible, casual work who is passionate about senior care and community service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide wheelchair and ambulatory patient transportation to and from medical appointments, hospitals, senior living facilities, and private residences.
- Deliver door-through-door service including patient assistance from home to vehicle and into medical facilities.
- Ensure safe driving and safe patient handling using proper techniques and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of the vehicle and equipment.
- Represent CareLift with professionalism, empathy, and respect at all times.
Qualifications:
- Class 5 or higher Alberta driver’s license with a clean driving record (Class 4 preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (or equivalent).
- A clean Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required.
- Ability to safely lift 200+ lbs with assistance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prior experience in healthcare, senior care, or NEMT is an asset but not required.
- Flexibility to be on call with short notice.
