Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and taping to ensure a smooth finish
- Apply paint, primer, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment across diverse surfaces
- Assist with demolition, surface preparation, and cleanup to support project timelines
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to execute tasks accurately
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during various phases of the project
- Support rigging and carpentry tasks as needed for structural adjustments or restoration work
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Skills
- Construction experience with a focus on painting and surface preparation
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate execution of tasks
- Proficiency in residential, commercial, and industrial painting techniques including restoration work
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., scrapers, brushes) and power tools (e.g., drills, sprayers) safely
- Knowledge of construction painting standards and best practices for durability and finish quality
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently
- Experience with caulking, schematics reading, rigging, carpentry, and working with hand tools is highly desirable
- Customer service orientation to ensure client satisfaction during project completion
