Parker Canada Division is hiring a permanent full time Manufacturing - Cylinder Assembler in our Milton location. This is an existing vacancy.
Starting Rate: Range between$26.00 - 28.00 per hour based on your experience. Profit sharing and company benefits upon start of employment.
Experience and Qualifications:
Assembler Responsibilities:
- Assemble all required parts per the job ticket/drawing/other engineering or sales information into a quality cylinder assembly
- Assemble and stage all piston rod assemblies for final assembly of cylinders
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read manufacturing AUTOCAD drawings, charts and instructions
- Experience in using measuring devices and able to convert from Imperial to Metric and vice/versa
- Inspection of parts (inspection techniques, interpretation of tolerances, gauges)
- Learn and follow ISO and facility procedures
- Follow all application instructions and use all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Communicate any known production problems, engineering problems to the related departments as well as supervisors and the Plant Manager as necessary
- Manufacture tie rods as per schedule.
- Perform Pneumatic Test as required.
Education/Experience/Certifications required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Fluid Power Certification an asset
- Crane Certificate
- WHMIS Trained
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Good manual dexterity
