Manager, Quality and Performance
We are recruiting Managers, Quality and Performance based out of the Winnipeg Airport for a 1-year term position.
What does the Manager, Quality and Performance do?
The Manager, Quality and Performance is responsible for the operational delivery of Paladin’s regional Quality Assurance and Performance Management Program. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and adherence to CATSA/Paladin’s standards and policies through audits, operational oversight, coaching, and continuous performance improvement.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, Compliance, this position provides direct leadership to Compliance Officers and Facilitators while coaching and mentoring Services Delivery Managers (SDM):
- Lead the execution of the Annual Quality Assurance Plan and support its continuous refinement.
- Directly manage Facilitator and Compliance teams
- Conduct regular performance reviews and establish development plans, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance guidance to SDMs, regarding operational oversight, report writing, observation techniques, performance management and documentation quality.
- Promote collaboration between Compliance Officers, SDMs and other departments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of frontline staff through direct observation and coaching opportunities.
- Develop corrective action/coaching plans to improve operational effectiveness.
- Conduct Quality Assurance audits to verify compliance with regulatory standards and adherence to CATSA/PASS standards and policies.
- Monitor quality and performance metrics to identify recurring trends or issues.
- Provide recommendations to the Regional Manager, Compliance to enhance operational performance.
- Collaborate with CATSA on compliance trends to ensure alignment between regional and local practices and client expectations.
- Travel regularly throughout the region to complete operational and quality assurance audits.
What you bring to PASS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in training or quality assurance is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive operational leadership experience in aviation security, quality assurance, compliance or related regulated industry.
- Experience conducting audits.
- Experience in a multi-unionized workforce.
- Ability to acquire Transport Canada Security Clearance and eligibility for Federal Security Clearance.
- Experience in training development or quality assurance is a strong asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, excellent verbal/written communication with ability to produce high quality reports, and to communicate with various audiences.
- Strong investigation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Fluency in French is considered and asset.
