Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on Candela laser systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and optical issues on Candela laser devices.
- Install new Candela laser systems and perform operational testing to ensure proper functionality.
- Calibrate laser handpieces and verify energy output using appropriate testing equipment.
- Replace laser windows, optics, cooling components, fibers, and other serviceable parts as required.
- Respond to service requests and provide timely on-site technical support across multiple clinic locations.
- Complete routine inspections to identify potential issues before they impact clinic operations.
- Maintain detailed service records, repair documentation, maintenance reports, and equipment history.
- Communicate repair findings, recommendations, and equipment status with the corporate team.
- Educate clinic staff on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures to help maximize equipment performance.
- Manage service tools, replacement parts, and inventory required to complete repairs efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, laser safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with clinic teams to minimize equipment downtime during service visits.
- Travel between clinic locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area as required.
Who You Are
- Minimum 2 years of experience servicing Candela aesthetic laser systems.
- Hands-on experience with Candela GentleMax Pro and GentleMax Pro Plus is required.
- Experience servicing other Candela aesthetic laser platforms is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Candela laser technology and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Previous experience servicing medical or aesthetic laser equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, mechanical, and optical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
- Comfortable using diagnostic equipment, calibration tools, and laser power meters.
- Background in electronics, biomedical engineering technology, medical equipment servicing, or a related technical field is considered an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Professional, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area on an as-needed basis.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work safely with precision tools and equipment.
