Location: Markham, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday (0700-1500 hrs)
Payrate: $18.80/hr
Averaging Agreement : Overtime is ESA

Job Description:

Act as a reliable and knowledgeable resource for visitors and employees across all facilities.

Demonstrate a solid understanding of the property and Paladin Security policies and procedures.

Provide exceptional customer service to all guests and community members.
-
Conduct regular patrols, including foot patrols, to ensure the safety and security of property and personnel.

Respond to incidents and emergencies, assisting with evacuation procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.

Inspect facilities frequently for damage or potential hazards and report findings to management.

Encourage a safe, inclusive, and supportive community environment.

Maintain detailed incident and daily activity reports.

Requirements
-
Minimum of 1 year of Security Guard experience in a municipal or corporate environment (asset).

Valid Ontario Security Guard License.

Valid First Aid/CPR certification.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Strong customer service mindset with a professional demeanor.
-
Post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.
-
Physically capable of standing and walking for prolonged periods.
-
Ability to stay calm and objective in high-pressure or diverse situations.

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
