Overview
The Grizz Hotel is seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests. You will be responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and assisting with laundry duties, while helping deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to hotel standards.
- Make beds, replace linens, towels, and amenities, and ensure rooms are fully prepared for arriving guests.
- Vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas.
- Clean and restock guest bathrooms with towels, toiletries, and other required supplies.
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance concerns, and damaged or missing items, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness of hallways, stairwells, lobby areas, guest laundry facilities, and other public spaces as assigned.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products in accordance with company procedures and WHMIS guidelines.
- Follow daily room assignments and cleaning schedules while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
- Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens
- Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests when encountered.
- Help maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and notify the Housekeeping Supervisor when stock is running low.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as needed
- Follow all hotel health, safety, and security procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Perform other housekeeping-related duties as assigned.
Experience
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is considered an asset but is not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a guest-focused approach.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and performing repetitive tasks including bending, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak tourism periods.
