Dunwald & Fleming Enterprises Ltd. is seeking a Heavy Haul Class 1 Driver based out of Calgary, Alberta to support utility and construction projects in Alberta and Saskatchewan. This position involves transporting heavy equipment and materials between project sites, including regular travel to and from Saskatchewan job locations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units to transport heavy equipment and materials between Calgary and Saskatchewan project sites.
- Load, unload, and properly secure equipment including reel piles, dozers, plows, and other construction or utility equipment
- Complete on-site equipment moves and support active field operations
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate driver logs and documentation
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal transportation regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and field crews regarding schedules and deliveries
- Identify and report equipment maintenance or repair requirements promptly
- Assist with general transportation and logistical support as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience
- Valid Class 1 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
- Experience operating manual transmission heavy haul trucks (18-speed required)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team-oriented, safety focused environment
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work out of town and in all seasons as required
- CSTS-2020 and WHMIS required prior to employment; additional safety tickets considered an asset, including First Aid & AED/CPR, Confined Space, PCST, and ABCGA Ground Disturbance Level II
Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
