Industrial Sewing Machine Operator - North York
The Career Foundation is currently seeking a Full-time Industrial Sewing Machine Operator on behalf of one of our employer partners.
Summary of the Position:
Our employer partner in the furniture industry is looking for an EXPERIENCED Furniture Upholstery Sewing Machine Operator who can sew manually and use a sewing machine to sew fabrics and upholstery items together.

Location: North York (Dufferin and Steeles)
Employment Type: Full-time
Hours: 40 hours/week
Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
· Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
· Operating a sewing machine to sew fabric for furniture.
· Thread machine, change needles and adjust tension as required.
· Use and understand basic measurements.
· Ability to thread sewing machine and make simple adjustments.
· Responsible for quality control and quality assurance.
· Adhere to proper health and safety protocol.
Required Qualifications:
· Previous experience operating an Industrial Sewing Machine is required.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· High attention to detail.
· Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
· Knowledge of single and double stitch
