Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Préposé(e) à la crème glacée to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving ice cream and related products. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to sanitation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cashiering, and upselling within a vibrant restaurant setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings according to established standards
- Handle cash and perform cashier duties with precision and integrity
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and promoting menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Upsell additional products such as toppings or specialty items to enhance customer experience
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all products served
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Experience in cashiering, food preparation, or serving roles will be advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
Pay: $16.60 per hour
