We are seeking a reliable, organized, and motivated Warehouse Inventory Manager to oversee inventory accuracy and ensure the efficient operation of our warehouse.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Inventory Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, organizing warehouse storage, receiving inbound shipments, and ensuring products are stored safely and efficiently. This role is critical to maintaining inventory integrity, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety and traceability requirements. Work days are MONDAY - SATURDAY
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify products against packing slips, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.
- Accurately count and record all received inventory.
- Inspect incoming products for damage, shortages, and quality concerns.
- Assign products to designated warehouse locations and ensure pallets are properly slotted.
- Maintain organized, clean, and clearly labeled warehouse aisles and storage areas.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full inventory counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Ensure lot numbers, expiry dates, and traceability information are accurately recorded where required.
- Replenish picking locations from reserve inventory.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to improve inventory flow and warehouse efficiency.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
- Report damaged, missing, or obsolete inventory to management.
- Assist with warehouse process improvements and inventory optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and food safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations.
- Valid forklift certification (required).
- Experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food distribution, grocery, or food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures and warehouse best practices.
- Familiarity with Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), food safety practices, and product traceability is considered an asset.
