Job Summary
MUST HAVE SONIC DRILLING EXPERIENCE- LOCATED IN AB and has a VALID DRIVERS LICENCE -We are seeking a motivated and dependable Sonic Driller Helper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist skilled operators in the setup, operation, and maintenance of sonic drilling equipment used for subsurface investigations and foundation work. Your energetic attitude and willingness to learn will contribute to efficient project execution, ensuring safety and precision on every job site. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with heavy equipment while supporting critical infrastructure projects.
Duties
- Assist the lead sonic driller in setting up drilling rigs, including positioning and securing equipment on-site
- Support drill operators with handling and maneuvering heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, and horizontal drilling units
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris and ensuring all safety protocols are followed before drilling operations commence
- Operate auxiliary equipment like loaders and backhoes to assist with material movement and site preparation
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment including Caterpillar machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Follow detailed instructions for horizontal drilling procedures, maintaining accuracy and safety standards throughout each project phase
- Maintain clear communication with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and ensure smooth workflow during construction activities
