Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide/Server to join our team in providing exceptional meal service and nutritional support within a healthcare or assisted living environment. This role is vital in ensuring residents and patients receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a clean and safe setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, food preparation, or related fields, with a strong focus on customer service and sanitation standards. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation, food handling, and serving residents or patients in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Set up dining areas, serve meals efficiently, and ensure timely delivery of food to residents or clients
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including proper cleaning of utensils, dishes, and food preparation surfaces
- Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper storage of perishable items
- Assist with kitchen sanitation tasks such as cleaning equipment, countertops, and storage areas
- Support dietary staff with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Provide friendly, respectful customer service to residents or patients during meal times
- Adhere to all health regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety practices
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards at all times
- Good time management skills to ensure timely meal service
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform cleaning duties as required
- Experience in food handling, sanitation procedures, and kitchen operations is desirable
- A caring attitude with a commitment to providing quality nutrition support in a compassionate manner
Pay: $17.60-$26.16 per hour
