Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in diverse healthcare settings, including acute care, assisted living, and medical offices.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, focusing on pain management and symptom control.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in case management and coordinate care for patients with complex medical needs.
- Accurately document patient information in electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding healthcare needs and care plans.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience in acute care, dementia care, hospice care, or other specialized areas is an asset.
- Strong skills in medication administration and familiarity with various administration routes.
- Knowledge of pain management protocols and best practices.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and healthcare documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Completion of an RN certificate program.
