In this role, you'll work independently, reviewing consultation notes from NDs and submitting requisition forms that help patients access essential lab and imaging services. The work is straightforward and fits easily around your existing schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete routine requisition tasks within one business day of assignment, and action urgent results promptly the same day. Tasks are typically assigned on business days, so the role involves brief daily check-ins rather than fixed shifts.
- Review Naturopathic Doctor chart notes and, based on their recommendations, submit requisitions for bloodwork and imaging, ensuring timely completion.
- Document requisition completion in the EMR and, when lab results are received, upload them to the EMR and notify the naturopathic doctor.
- Occasionally, when a result is urgent enough to require prompt medical attention, briefly call the patient to alert them to see their family physician or seek urgent or emergency care, and document the call in the EMR.
- When a result is out of range but not urgent, flag it to the naturopathic doctor as a task. Where a result warrants earlier review, the clinic can schedule a sooner appointment for the ND to go over it with the patient.
Compensation
- $25 per completed requisition task, each taking roughly 10 minutes to complete. With current monthly load of 60 to 75 requisition tasks, you will earn between $1,500 and $1,875/month in supplemental income with minimal time commitment.
- Highly competitive income potential: At $25 per 10-minute requisition task, this role offers a premium effective hourly rate of roughly $150, well above typical supplemental NP work.
- Potential future opportunity: Down the road, there may be an option to conduct brief patient consultations (15 minutes or less, mainly for straightforward prescriptions), compensated separately at $25 each. This is not part of the role today and is not required, just a possibility we may offer in future.

Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Ontario, Canada, with authorization to prescribe.
- Comfortable with EMR systems and secure online communication, with a flexible, open approach to learning and supporting team workflows.
- A team player with a positive attitude, who enjoys working closely with naturopathic doctors to support seamless, patient-centered care.
- Detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow with a supportive team.
