Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with hand tools and power tools. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while performing tire-related services, including installation, repair, and maintenance. The Tire Technician plays a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance through expert tire care and maintenance.
Duties
- Install, rotate, balance, and repair tires on various vehicle types
- Perform wheel alignments and tire inspections to identify wear patterns or damage
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove and install tires efficiently
- Conduct vehicle inspections to assess additional maintenance or repair needs
- Assist customers with selecting appropriate tires based on their vehicle requirements and driving habits
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions or concerns
- Perform heavy lifting of tires and wheels safely during installation or removal procedures
- Keep detailed records of services performed for each vehicle
Requirements
- Prior dealership experience or mechanic experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and tire maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and maintenance practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic sales skills to assist customers in selecting the right tires and services
- Valid driver’s license is required for moving vehicles as needed
