SOC 288: Sociology of Addiction.
This course explores the concept of addictive behaviour using different models and theories relevant to understanding addiction within Canadian society from a sociological perspective.
Position Requirements
- Hold a MA in Sociology;
- A record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level;
- Have experience managing classroom and online technologies used by the University of Regina (including UR Courses [Moodle])
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
This course is scheduled to be taught face to face with remote sections. The class is scheduled for Mondays 1600-1845. Instructors are expected to have one office hour per week.
Sessional Lecturers may have preparatory work to do before the start date and sometimes may have to deal with grading tasks after the termination date.
